BOLD DUALITIES, 2024

For Belgium is Design, BOLD DUALITIES is an estranging landscape is proposed in which selected work is to be seen.

A large structure consisting of aluminium tubes, clamps and cables stands within the space. Cold light and a custom soundscape contribute to a brutal universe that contrasts with the objects. Nevertheless, the use of light metals and white lights provides a neutral attitude to the colourful objects and textures. A semi-transparant reflective curtain complements the installation. It creates a dialogue between the objects in front of and behind the fabric. As it gently circles, it offers multiple perspectives on space and objects. In this poetic landscape, each work fully presents its identity.
